Laura A. Schroeder practices law and litigates in both administrative and judicial forums at the state and federal levels in Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and Washington. For 15 years, Ms. Schroeder has successfully advised clients concerning: the use of surface, groundwater and storage water for both private and public use; competing ownership interests; development, maintenance and operation of facilities and utility development within private and public ownerships; transfer of property interests while maintaining access; obtaining and securing easements for water conveyance and use; negotiating contracts and amendments with the Bureau of Reclamation; obtaining damages for water and aquifer depletions; and negotiating water quality permits and agreements. Ms. Schroeder is a published author and recognized speaker on specific legal issues involving water resources, including water use, transfer and development of water resources. After more than 10 years as a partner in a family farm row crop operation in Eastern Oregon, Ms. Schroeder obtained her J.D. degree from Northwestern School of Law in 1987.
